Arvind Kejriwal
The popular social worker and founder of Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal was born on June 16, 1968 in Hisar, Haryana. He worked with Tata Steel Company till 1992 after completing his graduation from IIT Kharagpur. He then joined as the Joint Commissioner in Indian Revenues services and worked in Income Tax department of New Delhi division till 2000. Then he started a NGO in Delhi named Parivartan. He started working for social causes from 2006.
NGO Parivartan was established so that it may make the country corruption free. The basic agenda of this society was to remove corruption from the system of government. Arvind Kejriwal is that genital personality enforcing the Central Right to Information Act, due to him RTI Delhi is possible today. NGO Parivartan had also solved various problems of the people who were facing problem due to corrupted system. The NGO is still working to better the working in the government offices.
He was awarded the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 2006 for Emerging Leadership and changing the trend of government working for the common people. He is a dedicated person to society. He also participated in second movement of Lok Pal Bill. He got support from the people during his Hunger Strike and other movements that he carried on.
The main idea behind his getting socialist was he wants to see the country Corruption Free. In this way, he joined the hands of socialists who also think in the same manner. During his movements, people of the country were stay with him and supported him a lot. He played a strong role in the anti corruption events in which people had given him full support.
He is the youth icon and this is the reason that he got support from the youths of the country for his movements.
